On Monday, August 26th, JRW 4th graders
welcomed nearly 20 classic Auburns and Cords to school. In culmination of their
study of Auburn’s important role in the development of the automobile industry
in the United States, students enjoyed visiting with car owners and learning
about the special features of each model.
The kids especially enjoyed having a chance to sit in the vehicles, and
even honk the horns. It was hard to tell
who was having the most fun- the students or the car owners! Special thanks go out to Mr. and Mrs.
Ackerman for providing this wonderful hands-on experience to JRW
students every year.
