Tina Bassett was recently recognized with the prestigious JA Golden Achievement Award for Excellence in Economic Education by Junior Achievement. Bassett is a teacher at JR Watson Elementary School.

classroom for 9 years. She goes above and beyond to make sure students have what they need to succeed, both academically and emotionally. Volunteer Jennifer Hathaway says “Tina is an
amazing teacher. She works tirelessly to make sure her students not only understand each lesson, but are excited to participate in JA. Her smile is contagious and she cares deeply for each student.
Tina was involved during each lesson and offered support when needed.”
