Weekly Update - JRW

Good Evening,

I hope the kids enjoyed their Thursday and Friday off from school! We are excited to welcome them back for our last full week of the first quarter of the 2026–2027 school year.

We have a few informational items to share with you below:

🍂 Fall Break
A reminder that DeKalb Central Schools will be on Fall Break October 12–16. We hope everyone enjoys a safe and relaxing break!

🎃 Halloween Parade
This year, we will try something a little different for our Halloween Parade to help create a more efficient and safer dismissal process. The parade will begin at 1:15 p.m. on Friday, October 30. Following the parade, students will enjoy additional Halloween activities in their classrooms.

All parents are welcome to attend the parade. After the parade, parents should plan to leave unless they have signed up to participate in their child(ren)’s classroom party and have the appropriate background checks on file.

🍁 Fall Family Night
JRW will be hosting a Trunk or Treat/Family Night on Thursday, October 29, from 5:30–7:00 p.m. We look forward to celebrating the season with our JRW families!
